You coul still push the values of its head a little, but not very much, if you want to place it more solidly in the 3-dimensional space.
But I think the focus is much better now, I don't get confused as to where to look, while the light doesn't draw my eye away from the characters either.
It was a colour practise piece but failed as I had to patch on it in the end to get the focus down. Whatever, next painting...
Thanks for the feedback you gave me though, I did use it, I just couldn't be bothered to update the version on the web.
The composition just needed some help.
The colours ran away in terms of value, but that happens to everyone, I think.
I think it's important to apply what you learn onto the things you learn them on.
When it's fresh in memory, that's when we have to kinda solidify it.
